Dried fruit snacks. You would think they aren’t that bad for you, but you would be wrong. They have sulfites, added sugars or fruit juice infusions, and vegetable oil. Sulfites are used to keep prepared foods fresh. With the fruit being dried it has a higher concentration of sugar. That doesn’t include the sugar that companies add to fruit. This can cause spikes in blood sugar levels and cause inflammation.

American cheese, you know the ones that come individually wrapped and taste like paper. Well, they are full of sodium citrate and phosphates. Sodium citrate can cause muscle spasms and can cause more issues for people that already have kidney problems. The sodium phosphate prevents crystallization of meat and dairy products. Wheat bread can be just as bad or worse than white bread if its not 100% whole wheat and even then you have to read the label. Companies will use both white flour and wheat flour to make the bread and then add in sugar to give the sweet taste that people look for in white bread.
