With all the hoopla over Superbowl, the myriad of party and menu preparations – those of us sticking to the Core Program might inquire – WHAT CAN I EAT???

Knowing that not all of us are on the same exact parameters – these are my suggestions.  If you have questions, text your trainer.  Also – based on your consumption, you can have a some of this and some of that.  Keep in mind portion sizing.

White Chicken Chile – no beans, and add chopped zucchini to get those veggies in!  Serve in a bowl with shredded cabbage and cilantro.

Spiced Edamame – see the recipe here

Crudites with “Ranch Dip” – blend 1% cottage cheese with ranch dressing envelope till smooth.  Add water to thin as necessary.

Celery and “Wings” with Walden Farms Blue Cheese Dressing – cut your chicken in “tender” sized pieces.  Mix 2 egg whites till very foamy.  Pat chicken dry – season with salt and pepper.  Dip in egg whites, then in panko bread crumbs.  Arrange on a baking sheet you have lightly sprayed, bake at 450 for 15 minutes till done.  Brush with hot wing sauce.

Beef Fajitas – you might splurge on your cheese here, and salsa.  Remember grilled zuchinni, mushrooms, peppers and cilantro go great with fajitas.

I’m staying away from anything sweet – too much temptation and SUGAR there.  Sorry folks – I’m not venturing there yet!

Drinks – I am loving sparkling water with things added.  Try adding lemon peel, lime peel, grapefruit peel, ginger slices, and mint.  My favorite so far has been a muddle of mint and ginger with a few red peppercorns.  Kind of an Asian Mocktail.  I also love the Crystal Light Mojito – try freezing it in an ice cube tray, and pouring sparkling water over.
