My passion has surpassed all understanding with the recent death of my mother, who struggled with her weight her entire life. It has convinced me now, more than ever, that if we do not do something to change our behavior – more of us will suffer an excruciating loss in the quality of our lives because of food.
We don’t need to guess anymore. Science has given us the knowledge we need. If we just stick to the science this isn’t that hard.

When I started HLS, I was looking for a major life change. Frustrated with my weight and feeling sluggish and overwhelmed by life, my weight yo-yoed up and down my entire adult life. After having children it stayed on the higher end. When I noticed a friend looking amazing and glowing from head to toe, I asked her about it. She told me about HLS and I enrolled that night. I was ready for a change and willing to put in the hard work that would require. As a physician, I have learned about nutrition, but had no idea the knowledge I was truly lacking. HLS has changed my life. I get emotional thinking about it because I am now a different person. I’m a better mother, wife, physician and friend. This was the best decision I ever made for myself and my health. I am forever grateful.

I joined Healthy Lifestyle Secrets at the recommendation of my doctor. Over the years and 2 babies later, I had gained 45 lbs and felt lethargic and my joints ached all the time. After 2 rounds of Healthy Lifestyle Secrets, I’m 35 lbs lighter and I don’t have any leg or foot pain. I have more energy now than in the last 15 years! My total cholesterol level went from 263 to 190. My Triglycerides went from 176 to 71. Fabulous!!
HLS has been a true lifestyle change for me. I have learned what I need for my body to function and maintain a healthy lifestyle, all by changing what I put in to my body. I learned what it is truly up to me to make healthier choices and I am in control of my body and hard work does pay off!
I had taken the class a couple of times several years ago and had done great. Over the years, my healthy habits had slipped a bit and I couldn’t get back on track by myself. I needed re-education so I took the class again. I lost about 5 pounds and about 5% body fat. My goal was met! I love Tammera’s passion, the depth of education, the scientific approach, the relentless encouragement to get healthy.
I took the class to get off of HBP and Cholesterol medication. I love how very informative it is. I felt like I really learned the science of food..
I have taken the core class repeatedly to keep educating myself for a lifetime of change in eating healthy foods. I have been through many, many other programs (Weight Watchers, South Beach Diet, Atkins Diet, etc) but they are hard to maintain and continue for life. Healthy Lifestyle Secrets teaches me how to understand the biologic process and makeup of the body so I have my own personalized plan. I have been on the plan since March 21st, 2017 and will continue for the rest of my life. I have lost 80 pounds and I’m grateful to HLS for their help, guidance, and encouragement. I felt I was taking a college level class on nutrition.
I have always been very conscientious about eating healthy/diet/exercise, but I felt I was somehow not incorporating the right balance to be efficient. My fingers were always swollen, and I felt somewhat lethargic at times. This class is truly about living a healthy/balanced life. It is not a “school of thought”, it is not a “diet”, and although the rest of the world doesn’t seem to understand that, I am extremely thankful to have found this company and this opportunity to learn the true science behind appropriate eating. I have truly found appreciation again for what can be really delicious even though it is healthy and simple
